The Older Adult Response Service (OARS) at Family Service Regina provides specialized support for older adults who may be experiencing abuse, neglect, or exploitation by family members or intimate partners.

Mistreatment of older adults can take many forms, including physical or emotional abuse, isolation, financial exploitation, and denial of access to care or essential services. This service helps individuals recognize these experiences and connect with the support they need.

Our trauma-informed OARS caseworkers provide individualized support based on each person’s situation, including safety planning, home visits, advocacy, and assistance navigating legal and community systems. Additional supports include practical assistance, regular check-ins, and referrals to appropriate resources.
