Learning to Speak for Yourself with Assertive Communication
Enhance your self-esteem through understanding how to become more assertive and developing new communication skills.
    

Rebuilding When Your Relationship Ends
Based on Bruce Fisher's book, participants will work through the stages people experience after a relationship ends and address how to rebuild your life after separation/divorce.  It is recommended that participants be separated at least four months before attending this workshop.
    

Building Effective Skills to Cope With Anger
Participants will be provided with basic techniques to understand and manage their anger and behavior more appropriately.

Building Effective Skills to Cope With Anger for People with Intellectual Disabilities
Participants will be provided with basic techniques to diffuse anger, constructively cope and manage feelings more effectively for people with intellectual disabilities. (Includes 5 monthly follow-up sessions)


Living Well with Stress
Enhance knowledge of individual stress responses and triggers. Discover techniques for managing stress with a balanced, holistic approach that will positively impact your personal well-being.

The Sandwich Generation: Care for the Caregivers People can be "sandwiched" between caring for their children, their parents and maintaining work responsibilities. Develop strategies to work through common concerns of the "Sandwich Generation".

Women and Self Esteem
This workshop will focus on the socialization of women and ways to take care of self physically, emotionally, spiritually.
    
  

Managing Anxiety and Depression
Enhance your understanding of depression and anxiety as well as develop tools that will improve personal management and increase quality of life. This workshop is facilitated by Family Service Regina and the Regina Qu'Appelle Mental Health Services.

An initial interview will be required to ensure we meet the needs of the participants.

Facilitator Training
This training will refresh the facilitating skills you already have and help you develop new skills and added confidence for facilitating workshops.

An Introduction to Trauma Recovery Theory & Interventions
This course is designed for counsellors, social workers, psychologists, nurses, shelter workers, social work & psychology students & other helping professionals.

The course will provide an  opportunity to learn & discuss the theories of trauma & the stages of trauma recovery from a holistic perspective. There will be an emphasis on specific approaches and tools appropriate to the stages of recovery.

The Facilitator, Pat Cavanaugh, is a Registered Psychologist who has  extensive experience working with trauma recovery. She has recently  completed a 3 year Somatic  Experiencing Practitioner course which has augmented & added a body centered strategy to the overall holistic approach.
