Families and Schools Together
Families And Schools Together (F.& S.T.) is an innovative and collaborative, preventive program in which whole families gather and participate in specific, fun, research-based activities aimed at strengthening families and empowering parents.
F.& S.T. is an eight week program led by a trained F.& S.T. Team, that the entire family attends. The goals of Families and Schools Together are:
- enhancing family functioning and strengthening parent-child relationships
- reducing the stress that parents and children experience from daily life situations
- preventing at-risk children from experiencing school failure and preventing alcohol and drug abuse.
The program builds up protective factors against school failure while strengthening the family unit.
A partnership with Family Service Regina, Regina Public Schools, Catholic Family Service Society, Regina Catholic Schools and the Regina Police Service guide the work of F.& S.T. in Regina.
