Employee Assistance Program

Fseap (formerly known as Family Services Employee Assistance Programs) is the largest nonprofit provider of employee and family assistance programs in Canada, serving over 1000 organizations nationwide. Our new brand represents our continued commitment to providing exceptional counseling and work/life services to the employees and family members of the organizations that we support. The phrase "Now we're talking" expresses our belief in counseling as a way of helping people improve their lives and reflects our approachable, practical, and caring approach. Our new red color scheme reflects the energy and passion we bring to the organizations and clients we serve, as well as our heritage as a truly Canadian EAP.

It’s simple – fseap is an EAP.  Confidential counseling is our primary business.  Healthy employees, families, organizations and communities are our corporate objective.  As a non-profit our stakeholders are the organizations and communities that we serve.

Our roots are in community-based family services.  Many of our locations have decades of experience.  Family Service Regina, for example, has been part of our community for nearly 80 years!  We were the first in Canada to bring EAP services to the workplace.

Our offering has expanded over the years to include services that leverage our clinical strength.  Programs now commonly include work-life, wellness, training and workplace interventions.  Our EAP reaches all employees, not just those in need of counseling.  We support employees, families, managers and HR professionals in many effective ways.

We concentrate our resources on development of our clinical capabilities. Our counselors are committed, experienced, professional and passionate about what they do.  They really care about people and helping them to make positive changes in their life and work.

fseap has resources across the country but we’re still small enough to give you the personal attention that you deserve.  EAP IS OUR BUSINESS.  We favor proven face-to-face counseling services over self-serve web-based options.  We are the only national non-profit EAP provider.  Our proceeds are reinvested in services that strengthen the health and well-being of individuals and families in the communities where you live and work.

To access your EAP simply call our toll-free Intake Line at 1-866-757-6620.  You will speak to our Intake Counselor who will assist you in making arrangements.

Who Provides the Service?

EFAP counselors have Masters or Doctorate degrees in Social Work or Psychology and a minimum of five years counseling experience. Each is a registered or certified member of his or her professional association. Counselors receive clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.

Family Service Regina also employs Registered Psychologists. Many Extended Health Benefit Plans require employees to see a Registered Psychologist.

EFAP professional counselors allow your employees and their families the opportunity to explore their strengths and develop plans to work towards a positive work/life balance.  Quality service is assured.

Assured Confidentiality

Our EFAP services are designed to safeguard the privacy and rights of employees.  Issues discussed with the counselor are kept confidential.  Family Service Regina counselors will not release any information to anyone without prior written consent, except where legally required.
